Humans of LBCC II

Cody Kahl
I'm from Philomath and I'm currently on my third year at LBCC. I'm transferring to Oregon State at the end of the term. I chose LBCC to save money while taking my pre-req courses. I'm studying Food & Fermentation Science with the dream of opening my own brewery. Although I attend Linn-Benton, I am part of the Acacia Fraternity at Oregon State. I joined Fall 2015 and have been apart of the house since then. I got the role of Vice President this year, and will hold the role for the 2018 calendar year. Although I'm still close to my hometown, the fraternity helped me reach out and make a ton of new friends. It has also helped me strengthen my leadership skills."

Dalton Holt
"I'm from a small town in eastern Oregon called Athena. As soon as I was 18 and graduated my parents moved to Boise, Idaho and I made the choice to be on my own. Since then I have attended Walla Walla community college before transferring to Oregon State, and have done everything for work from commercial roofing, buying and selling cars, and paining. I worked in Florida for about a year before returning to OSU and began working for Dutch Bros, while finishing my degree. Dutch bros provides me with the atmosphere, support, and opportunity to work hard, challenge myself, and achieve goals that I set."

Detroit: Become Human Review

“Detroit: Become Human” is a story-based and decision-heavy game developed by French developer group Quantic Dream, which created a game of similar playstyle titled “Heavy Rain,” which followed the story of a mourning, once successful father who will do anything to get the clues that lead him to the location of his kidnapped son. In "Detroit: Become Human," the year is 2038 and human technology has skyrocketed. Multi-billion dollar company CyberLife has developed human-like androids that act as personal servants to any average American citizen. Housework, taxes, attending to a child, even sex can all be done with a CyberLife android at your disposal. However, when these androids witness and experience abuse and neglect first-hand due to their reliance in the American workforce, the question arises; who’s more human? The game has you play as three androids; Markus, Connor, and Kara, each playing their own roles in the futuristic and industrial Detroit. Markus ha

Free Shoot: 5A Baseball Championship: Crescent Valley vs Crater

Junior Ethan Krupp moments before delivering a pitch to the hitter. Krupp preformed in place of Crescent Valley's starting pitcher, Taylor Holder, who had pitched in the past two games. Despite this, Krupp preformed very well, holding the Crater Comets to only two runs on Saturday. The Crescent Valley dugout watches on during warm-ups on Saturday, June 2nd in the 5A Baseball championship against the Crater Comets, who knocked off the Raiders last year in the states semi-finals. Senior Briley Knight looks on before his final High School game.
